Essay on My Favorite City Melbourne

According to the Global Livability Survey, Melbourne was named as the world’s most livable city several times. That is such a big statement to make which made me curious to know and explore more about this city. Many of my friends and co-workers also suggested me to go visit it at least once. When I visited the city, I came to know that it is no doubt livable but that’s not entirely based on a single thing. It’s a beautiful blend of a lot of qualities which make it perfect.

  • Easy To Go

In this modern and global era, the ability to roam around the town with ease must be considered. Melbourne has the world’s largest urban tramway network which has more than 400 tram cars. It is the most convenient public transport which helps people move around the town with an amazing comfort level. Even If you don’t personally like taking public transport, you’ll find Melbourne a very walkable city.

  • Street Art

Street Art at Melbourne is considered to be vibrant and important around the world. The street art tours are conducted and led by top street artists who also provide with a deep perspective on creativity, techniques, and controversies.

  • Low Crime Rate

Melbourne has been struggling to deal with homelessness, poverty, house affordability, stress, low incomes, and other factors which can be the drive forces for multiple crimes. It has outranked other high performing cities with its relatively low crime rate.

  • Helping Hands

If you are new to this city, you will see people wearing red shirts on the streets. These people are basically among the nicest people on this planet who volunteer to help other people with their local knowledge. So, if you are lost, these people will be there to guide you to the next block.

  • Fun Parties

It has an obsessively charming culture where parties are thrown out on a regular basis for adults to have fun. Many other cities might be liberal like this but Melbourne is truly best when it comes to tolerance, diversity, and openness.

  • Lot Of Things To Do

Like many other cities, you won’t find Melbourne boring and hectic. There are a lot of activities which both visitors and citizens can experience for fun, relaxation, and entertainment. It has everything from extravagant boutiques to small local shops which would tempt you to spend money. Even if you are not left with much money, there are various spots you can explore and a variety of activities you can enjoy for free. You would also find some great books there which are impossible to find anywhere else. So, Melbourne is so much more than just shopping.

However, I enjoyed my time there by exploring the vibrant culture. I watched new galleries, exhibitions, shows, and much more every day which made me fall for this beautiful place again and again. Since I am a history buff, I spent some of my time wandering historic lane-ways as well. For me, Melbourne is undoubtedly a beautiful city and probably the best around the globe. If I have to live here forever, even then it wouldn’t be a bad decision at all.
