Right to Vote Sample Essay

It is a basic human right to vote to choose a particular political party or group. We live in a democratic world where the opinions of the general public cannot be neglected. It must play its role in improving the political condition of a country and that is only possible through the voting system. It allows people to express their different types of point of view based on valid and fair reasons. The Government must arrange the proper electoral system to make sure that every individual enjoys political freedom.

Since voting helps keep the governmental system of a nation work, it fulfills the true definition of democracy. It makes sure that people are forming their government by choosing representatives they think have the caliber to make a positive difference. Also, they expect from such leaders to hear their voices and address their concerns properly. So, the voting policy is basically to benefit the citizens in every possible way. This right cannot be taken away from the people as they deserve the justification for every issue they have to face while living in a country.

The right to vote also promotes social awareness through political cooperation. The citizens can keep a check on every move of their leaders. It makes it difficult for political leaders to misuse their power and authority for their benefits. So, it is important to make sure that every single citizen is given a right to vote irrespective of his gender, occupation, caste, creed, or occupation. They must also keep themselves updated and informed about whatever is happening around them. It would help them choose trustworthy leaders who present their perceptions and opinions about critical matters.

Unfortunately, political parties have started manipulating people while competing with each other. They arrange various campaigns to influence different groups for all the wrong reasons. So, a huge responsibility lies on the individual as well to use his knowledge, wisdom, and information correctly to elect the deserving Government. Also, people who are eligible for casting votes must come out in a huge number to exercise this power or right. On the other hand, people, who shun away from this responsibility and don’t bother to come out to vote on the day of the election, are only helping the corrupt politicians to promote injustice, unfair treatment, and a lot of evil activities.

In a nutshell, every citizen needs to realize the value of casting vote as thousands of people have died to establish this right, to get their voices heard, and to exercise their freedom. The vote we use today is also going to help our future generations if we leave the best political leaders for them. Also, whoever you choose is going to represent you and share your ideas and messages in other areas of this global world. So, let’s get together and put in your effort to fuel the wheels of your Government. It would help keep democracy alive and functioning for a lot of coming years.
