My Visit to Hawaii

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to travel around the world but my all-time place or you can say my dreamland was Hawaii. I have been planning this trip since forever; even the novel Hawaii written by James Michener inspired me. It was the history and tradition that made me inquisitive to visit this place and explore every bit of it. There were things I wish I would have known on my trip like what are the best islands in Hawaii to visit, cheap airline, budget hotels and services etc.

Here are some tips I have been able to assemble for people who are planning a trip to Hawaii.

Hawaii Beach

  • OAHU:

Are you interested to find out what exactly happened in WW-II? Then visit Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial. Each historic tour takes about 15 minutes to explore the USS Arizona memorial site on a boat, where you will be able to see the leftovers of battleship under the water surface. But remember to book your tickets before you decide to go it will cost you around $1.50 per ticket.

  • Explore beyond Waikiki and Honolulu:

Some of the breaths taking attractions are situated outside Waikiki and Honolulu; it’s worth giving a look. The main form of transport in Hawaii is Bus, which costs as low as $2.50 a ride, or the option is rent a car and travel around by yourself. On Oahu’s southeast coast there is a beach name Hanauma Bay well known for its preserved nature. Go for snorkeling there. Then you can drive up your way to the windward coast on Kalanianaole highway, where you will get to see thriller-looked volcano moving down to Kailua road you will the beautiful Lanikai Beach, which is so far considered as the best beach by tourist.

Hawaii Volcano

  • Hawaiian food:

Every trip is incomplete without food. Every place has its own specialty so does Hawaii. If you are living near Waikiki beach, Duke’s Waikiki food is a must try, it is a buffet which serves all specialties of Hawaii from pork to Huli chicken. If you are on the north shore of Oahu, do stop by Giovanni’s shrimp truck.

  • Whale watching cruise in Maui:

Starting from December till April is the right season for whale-watching. Mostly humpback whale migrates from the cold water of Alaska to warm water of Hawaii to breed their young. I was lucky enough to get a whale watching cruise from Lahaina for a better sight. What could be more beautiful than watching whale with their babies passing by your boat and giving you a look?

  • Hawaiian culture at Luau:

Music is the most important thing which lets you picture a memory more deeply. Don’t miss out the Hula performances, Hawaiian people everyone on stage to learn this hula dance so don’t feel shy. Enjoy every bit of that dance and ask someone to snap all the moments for your album.

Hawaii Sea

  • Big island of Hawaii:

Want to experience all the science classes you took on a volcano? You will get a chance to see all this in Hawaii volcanoes national park. You will get to see it for real. Don’t forget to get a map from the staff, you will also find the best hiking and free camping in it. Remember always stick to the mark paths and avoid getting closer to the lava after all you are still on an active lava.

  • Toss a lei flower in ocean:

Obviously last but on the least, toss a lei flower in an ocean it’s a myth that if you do so you will get back to Hawaii one day again.
